What was your favorite thing about this event?
They included two very cool traditions from both sides of their family. They did a log ceremony where the couple had to saw through a pretty hardy log as their first obstacle to overcome as man and wife. The second, a southern tradition, was cake pulls. Cake pulls are for the single ladies in the group (instead of a bouquet toss) where all the girls pull charms out of the bottom of a cake. The charms represent different wishes of good luck to all of them. I love when couples introduce different traditions for their big day, it makes it such a special day.
What did you like best about working with this couple?
They really listened to our advice about how the day could run the smoothest and it seemed like they were pretty content with our recommendations. The day went without a hitch.
Did you have a favorite design element?
I have never seen both rounds and longs in Alberts lodges before and man was it gorgeous. Add in the beautiful floral and you’ve got a very pretty reception space.
