#LoKnows Fall Festivities

Fall is by far my favorite season because of the chill in the air, the beautiful colors and all the goodies, so here is a list of my favorite fall activities.

Tailgating Food

Football is in full swing and I couldn’t be more happy about it! Obviously you go for the game but before the kickoff there’s a very important part of the day…..the tailgate! I absolutely love bringing food and enjoying some Hot Toddies before the game so here are some of my favorites food items to bring:

Pepperoni Pizza Football Cheese Ball– thank you Pinterest for this gem! It’s so cute and it really makes everyone laugh when you bring it out.

Cowboy Caviar– I really like bringing this dip because you can make it in advance (it gets better the longer it sits) and it doesn’t have dairy, so no refrigeration needed!

Guac- This is a classic but I do still love whipping this one out. Fun trick: leave the pits of the avocados in the bowl with the finished guac to help it stay longer.

Rice Crispy Treats- these little nommies are delicious and so easy to make. My twist is to use fruity pebbles and add some bourbon in with the marshmallows. You won’t be disappointed

Walking Tacos– this one is fun and everyone enjoys it because they all get to make it however they want! Try it with Cool Ranch chips next time

Pumpkin Patch- Anderson Farms

Home of Colorado’s longest- running corn maze and pumpkin patch and one of my favorites. Duck races, goats, tractor rides and of course all the pumpkins you could imagine! If you are looking for a fun day, head that way

Haunted House- Reapers Hollow

Reapers Hollow is one of the only outdoor haunted houses in Colorado and let me tell you, its scary! I wont spill the beans on this place so you need to check it out if are a person that likes to be scared.

Corn Maze- Denver Botanic Gardens — Chatfield

7-acre Corn Maze that you can enjoy during the day and at night! OOOOO scary! I have been going to this one for years and there is something for everyone. Don’t feel like getting lost in the corn, check out all the food trucks, pumpkin patch, corn hole, hayrides and more.

Apple Picking- Delicious Orchards

Take a long drive through the mountains during peak leaf changing season to spend a day picking fruit…Sign. Me. Up. Big B’s Delicious Orchards is known for an array of different fruit that you can pick throughout the orchard. It is a bit of a trek from the Denver area but take a day and really enjoy it.
