What was your favorite thing about this event?
My favorite thing about Nathan and Stacy’s event was how family oriented the entire weekend was. They told us that they wanted it to be a great big family vacation that they just happened to get married at. Nathan and Stacy’s kids were so involved not only in the ceremony, but in the entire planning process and I think thats what made it so special.
Were there any special/unique design elements/ceremonies?
Nathan and Stacy’s wedding design was very simple and colorado mountain themed. I thought it was beautiful how they let Devils Thumb natural beauty shine, while just adding some of their personal favorite touches in. The lanterns down the ceremony aisle were beautiful and really helped it feel that much more intimate. I thought that doing one long family table for the reception was a really wonderful way to bring everyone together and it looked really beautiful in the Broad Axe Barn.
Their ceremony was also very unique, as it was a Native American celebration performed by Toni Axelrod. It was really interesting being able to see the Sage blessing and the other elements of the Native American ceremony and how it brought together not just the two of them as a couple, but everyone as a whole family.
What did you like best about coordinating at this venue?
We always love getting to work at Devils Thumb Ranch. All of their staff, especially their events staff, are so helpful and great to work with throughout the planning process and the wedding day. Jessica, Maura, Sam and Trisha are always great to work with and we look forward to all of our future events there.
